Choose The Suitable Toddler Shoes And Toddler Footwear For Your Kid

Every parent will want to give their best to their kids. Choosing apparels for your child for best fit can be easy but not so straightforward to determine how well a pair of shoes can fit nicely into your child's feet. The worse part is if the chosen shoes are ill fitting shoes, then your child may be exposed to sticky foot problems. It may come to your surprise that many parents do not know how to get the right toddler shoes for their child. According to the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), the lack of awareness of proper foot care which includes wearing ill-fitting shoes, is a major contributor to the problem of deformity, foot pain, bone malformation and etc faced by toddlers. There is only a very small percentage of children are born with foot problems but there is nearly a 22 percent of toddlers and preschool children develop such foot problems by the age of five. Here are some specific qualities or pointers mentioned by podiatrists in choosing the right toddler footwear for your child. By keeping these pointers in mind, you can avoid such potential foot problems to your child. .Breathable : It should be airy and constructed using natural materials, so as to allow the feet to remain healthy. .Lightweight: It should not be heavy and should not impede or conflict with the child's movement. .Flexible : It should not bind the child's foot uncomfortably, nor should they restrict mobility of the toes. .Flat : It should simulate a bare foot, and should not have any arch support. There are different types of toddler girls shoes and toddler boys shoes. These may include the dressy type, booties type, casual type and the sporty type. It all depends on the occasion or event that your child will be involved. So it is important for parents to invest in a pair of high-quality shoes that will serve your child's activities and lifestyle as well. A high quality shoe should be light weight, flexible, breathable and it come with flat sole and not just how expensive or cheap it is.

    EXTRA WIDE toddler boys shoes?
I have looked up some of the other answers in previous questions with pretty much the same results I have found. I don’t like the styles (and price) of Stride Rite shoes, which we started out with. We have been using New Balance and they don’t have alot of choice. He is going into a size 10 toddler (he is a big 2 1/2 year old). I found a pair that I like okay, but am looking for more options. Anyone have any suggestions for websites? Links would be appreciated. Thanks!
NBwebexpress has some. The pair I’m considering is $37.99 + tax with free shipping. They don’t have alot of choices though. It’s not as bad as Stride Rite and they (IMO) are cuter at NB, but that’s still pretty expensive. I’m kinda OCD about keeping them in good shape since I don’t want to have to buy 2 pair at that price and have a play pair. I got lucky with adjustable strap sandals at Wal-Mart for the summer, but the winter months are going to be a challenge.

    Toddlers Shoes?
What is the average shoe size for a boy who is 21 months?

  4. geowhizkid26 says:

    Here is what I know:

Most 21 month olds would probably wear a size 6 to
    6 1/2 infant. Having collected children’s shoes (I collect
old vintage Mary Janes, T-straps, and double buckle t-straps
otherwise known as English sandals, from the mid 1970s
to early 1990s) I do know when one should be wearing what
sized shoe. I have shoe brands that no longer exist anymore
such as Lazy Bones and Mother Goose. I’ve been collecting
for 12 years and now have 70 shoes in my collection.

This is an average shoe size chart of which Stride Rite
    sent to me:

    Age of child
    newborn – 1 month should wear a size 0
    1 month – 3 months old should wear a size1
    3 months – 6 months old should wear a size 2
    6 months – 9 months old should wear a size 3
    9 months – 12 months old should wear a size 4
    12 months – 18 months old should wear a size 5
    18 months – 2 years old should wear a size 6
    2 years old – 2 1/2 years old should wear a size 7 baby
    2 1/2 – 3 years old should wear a size 8 preschooler
    3 – 4 years old should wear a size 9
    4 – 5 years old should wear a size 10
    5 years old – 6 years old should wear a size 11
    6 years old – 7 years old should wear a size 12
    7 + years old should wear a 13- 1 1/2 growing girls (if a girl)

This is generally what size should be worn at what age. If you have a small child, then his foot will be smaller. SO it is definitely possible to have a child who is 21 months old and
wearing a size 5, although the average would be a size 6
    to 6 1/2. My 3 year old cousin (I’m 31, but I have a cousin who
    is 3) wears a size 8 1/2 – 9 at the last time I saw what size
    shoe she was wearing.

Also important to note is: little boys tend to have plumpier
feet than little girls, or what I mean is, wider feet. The average
width for a toddler boy is a E width (or W, with recent shoes), and whereas most girls are closer to a D in width (or a M
    for medium, with recent shoes).

Keep in mind these are averages, NOT absolutes.

Also, if you have a child over 8, a growing girls’ 1 1/2 is
    equal to a ladies 3 1/2. A 3 1/2 growing girls is equal to
about a 5 ladies size. And, if you have a child with
dwarfism or Down Syndrome, your child may be wearing
shoes at a size significantly below what is usual for their age (due to their short stature, and smaller feet). I actually know
a person with Down Syndrome who is an adult and she
wears a size 1 growing girls, and can even wear a size 13
    junior / preschooler size.

Thanks for the question :) Have a great day.

toddler boys tap shoes where can I find them?
I have searched all over trying to find toddler boys tap shoes. My son wears a toddler size 6.5 he is 20 months and I really want t get him a pair! But I can’t find them can anyone help me?

  6. CrazyChick says:

Why is it that stores will have dress clothes for all ages but toddlers boys?
I have a three-year-old boys, and I hit every store in town trying to find dress clothes for church.

Every store I hit had dress clothes and shoes for infant girls and boys, toddler girls, older boys and girls, and adults of both genders.

Eventually, I found one dress outfit, but then I wasn’t able to find dress shoes.

What gives? Do they think toddler boys don’t need clothes? It’s highly likely they need them more than any other age group.

    Anyone else noticed this?

Why is it so hard to find shoes for infant and toddler boys?
I trying to find some soft shoes for my son to wear, just to keep his feet covered at daycare. Retailers have rows and rows of shoes for infant and toddler girls, but only have 2 or 3 choices if any for boys.

Stride rite is a must for all young children. Kids at this age need special shoes to help form their feet right. Stride Rite has a awsome selection for little toddler boys.

I have had the same problem for about 2 year now. It does get really old really quick. Trying to find clothes for my 3 and 4 year old boys can be a chore!
The best places I have found to find them clothes are the Outlet stores. Not only do they have lots of toddler boys’ clothes, there is an actual variety of colors and styles. My personal favorites are the Osh Kosh outlet and the Old Navy outlet.
I am not sure why most places have such a limited selection of boys clothes, but I have actually asked on certain occasions and been told that the “don’t sell as well as girls clothes.” I wonder why?? The girls clothes sell better because there are more of them to choose from.
My only advice is to find a store or two that has a good assortment of boys clothes and only shop there. Fortunately, it does get better when they get older.
